Speaking the day that almost all Japanese eat same things is New Years Day. On the day, Japanese eat traditional food that is called "Osechi". Osechi contains many kind of food: shrimp, sea tangle, bean, boiled fish paste, maron so on. Every food that is included in Osechi has good luck meaning. For instance, shrimp. As you know, shrimp's back hunched up. This mean that if you are getting more and more old, even though your back will be hunched up like shrimp, we wish you alive longer and your health. It's interesting and curious food to know each meaning. I would like to you to eat and go through this Japanese tradition.

  4. It's interesting to learn the cultural meaning behind different types of food. I tried osechi when I lived in Japan, but I didn't really know what it meant!
